March 2022
As all restrictions have now been lifted in Wales, we will no longer be required to check temperatures. We will still be providing hand gel for some of the sessions - especially if equipment is being used. NHS track and trace have confirmed that self isolation is still recommended if any students test positive and the request is that parents continue to take reasonable precautions around bringing students to classes if they have been in close contact or are positive, we still have several students and their families who are at a higher risk. The advise is to follow any local guidance as it is enforced.
August 2021
As the restrictions in Wales are lifted from 7th August 2021 with some recommendations in place we will still be doing temperature checks upon arrival to classes and providing hand gel to all as they enter and leave. We are now able to move back into full contact classes, such as coming back to sparring and grappling and working together closer, however, we will still be taking some extra precautions for the time being. To start, we will wait a little longer to move to full contact in late September to allow as many students to purchase their own sets of sparring gear (please remember we offer exchanges for outgrown gear, so you will only need to purchase one set as long as you look after your gear!) We will still continue to not share any in class equipment between more than one pair of students at a time. We will continue to follow extra cleaning routines and ensuring everything is wiped.
Instructors will continue to wear masks/face shields and maintain social distancing in all classes. Students will also be encouraged to keep social distancing when not working in close contact.
We are looking forward to returning to a more normal class structure, but will continue to do so safely and inline with all government guidances.
October 2020
We continue to be COVID secure and compliant with all current rules and regulation. We continue to provide safe spaces for your children to attend and learn, but can we please request that parents also ensure that their children are aware of the current rules regarding social distancing. In order to remain a compliant club, we have to ensure all distancing guidelines are adhered to.. this means it doesn't matter the age of the student, all have to remain a minimum of 1 meter apart. We try to increase this to 2 meters at most locations!
September 2020
COVID-19 is still with us and with the new risks of a second wave beginning to show, we wanted to ensure students and parents that as of the 14th September 2020, that while indoor restrictions have been put in place to reduce gathering numbers to 6, this is not applicable to sports settings such as ours where we have stringent COVID policies in place.
We continue to monitor any news and changes that come into effect. There is new guidance that children appear to - on the whole be asymptomatic, but can develop a rash. Please note that this will be important to keep an eye on.
For adults, the symptoms remain the same:

We house an open doors policy, so you are welcome to attend any other session we run during the week if you miss your regular session due to sickness.
