They all competed at the WKU British championships in April 2017, where they came away with a range of medals and belts!!
Chloe Owen gained Bronze for her traditional kata, displaying her skills with The Circle of The Tiger!
Alex Pawley gained a silver for his traditional kata, displaying his skills with H Form, and followed that up with a silver for his sparring skills!
Piper Tait gained gold and a British Championship belt for her sparring division.
Halle Vaughan gained a silver for her sparring skills, but due to a mistake on the day, this was upgraded to a gold and a British Championship belt!
Halle Vaughan continued to progress with WKU and was recently selected to join their England Squad for 2017! She attended the KWON Grand Slam final in early June 2017, walking away with Bronze for her traditional Kata and Gold for Kumite! Being selected to join the WKU England squad is a great honour, not only for Halle, but also for the Powys Dragons! Her next step is Germany in Mid-June along with other members of the Kros Bros Squad!
Halle did awesomely alongside all competitors at the Germany competition! Taking home a silver in the under 25kg and bronze in the under 30kg categories for Kumite. Following on from her recent success with LSKC and the WKU in Germany, Halle has now decided to focus her training with LSKC and Powys Dragons would like to wish her all the best for her future ventures!
